Agreement

These Terms of Use apply to the PadKeys iPad app, PadKeys Helper apps, and PadKeys website. By using PadKeys, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use PadKeys.

Definitions

In these terms, "PadKeys" means the PadKeys iPad app, PadKeys Helper apps, PadKeys website, and related support materials. "Helper" means the laptop app that receives local-network input from the iPad app and sends keyboard or mouse input on your laptop. "PadKeys Pro" means the paid lifetime entitlement available through the iPad app.

Service

PadKeys turns your iPad into a full-screen keyboard and lightweight trackpad for your own laptop. The iPad app connects to PadKeys Helper running on your laptop over your local network. PadKeys is a keyboard-first companion tool, not a general-purpose remote-control, surveillance, file-transfer, media-control, or device-administration product.

PadKeys may include setup guidance, QR pairing, keyboard input, pointer movement, clicking, scrolling, local app settings, a trial, and PadKeys Pro purchase or restore features.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for using PadKeys only with laptops, accounts, apps, and networks you own or are authorized to use. You are also responsible for granting helper permissions only to the official PadKeys Helper downloaded from the PadKeys website.

You must keep your device, laptop, network, and operating-system permissions secure. If you no longer trust a network or helper installation, disconnect PadKeys, revoke helper permissions, and reinstall the official helper from the PadKeys website.

Permissions and setup

PadKeys Helper may require operating-system permissions, such as Accessibility permission on macOS or private network access on Windows, so it can receive local-network input and send keyboard and mouse events on your laptop. If these permissions are not granted, PadKeys may not work correctly.

Some setup steps depend on iPadOS, macOS, Windows, local network configuration, firewall settings, and hardware availability. PadKeys cannot guarantee that every network or operating-system configuration will work.

Trial and purchase

PadKeys offers a 14-day free trial that starts after the first successful connection. After the trial, PadKeys Pro is available as a one-time lifetime purchase inside the iPad app. Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit and are subject to Apple's App Store terms and purchase rules. PadKeys does not provide a web checkout.

Purchase availability, price display, taxes, payment method, family sharing, refunds, and purchase restoration are handled by Apple and may vary by region, account, device, and App Store policy. If you request a refund, you may need to do so through Apple.

Acceptable use

You may not use PadKeys to:

• access or control a device, account, app, or network without permission;
• violate any law, regulation, contract, or third-party right;
• send harmful, deceptive, abusive, or unauthorized input;
• interfere with another person's device, data, privacy, or security;
• reverse engineer, tamper with, bypass, modify, or redistribute PadKeys except where allowed by applicable law;
• use unofficial helper builds, modified clients, automation abuse, or security bypasses;
• use PadKeys in safety-critical, medical, emergency, industrial, or other high-risk environments where failure could cause harm.

Updates and compatibility

PadKeys may change over time as we improve the iPad app, helper apps, website, pricing, supported platforms, security behavior, or setup flow. Some features may require an updated app, updated helper, compatible operating-system version, local network access, or active App Store entitlement.

Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of PadKeys where needed for maintenance, security, legal compliance, platform-policy changes, infrastructure issues, or product changes.

We may also limit or suspend access where we reasonably believe there is misuse, security risk, legal risk, platform-policy issue, or a need to protect users, the service, or our systems.

Support

We may provide support through email, FAQ pages, website materials, or app guidance. Support availability, response time, and supported platforms may vary. You should not send passwords, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, private documents, or sensitive information in support requests unless specifically requested for a support issue.

Intellectual property

PadKeys, including its app design, helper design, website, code, text, product names, icons, graphics, and related materials, is owned by PadKeys or its operator and licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of PadKeys to you. You may use PadKeys only as permitted by these terms and applicable platform rules.

Disclaimer

PadKeys is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to make PadKeys reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every iPad, laptop, app, keyboard layout, network, operating-system version, permission state, firewall setting, or hardware configuration.

PadKeys sends input to your paired laptop helper. You are responsible for checking the active app, text field, document, website, or system focus on your laptop before typing, clicking, scrolling, or sending input.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, PadKeys and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of PadKeys.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection law.

Privacy

Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using PadKeys, you acknowledge that PadKeys processes information as described there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date or last updated date on this page. Continued use of PadKeys after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise. Disputes will be handled by the court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
